Meals are great times for fellowship - this one is the best!

LK 24: 35-48 "Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures."

JN 20:1-9  "For they did not yet understand the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead."

MK 16:1-7 "On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed."

JN 13:1-15 "What I am doing, you do not understand now, but you will understand later."

JN 12:20-33 "... Sir, we would like to see Jesus." Many would like to see Jesus, even today.  For to see Him, to be in His presence, gives us the hope, the comfort, and the strength to live as He taught each of us to live.

JN 3:14-21  "... For God so loved the world..." God loves us when we do good things and when we do bad things.  He loves us throughout.

JN 2: 13-25  "Zeal for your house will consume me..." Jesus acts out of zeal - love and concern for the special place the Temple held in His Father's plan.  His actions show His appreciation and respect, not just for the Temple, but for the God for Whom it was built.  Does our zeal for God, His plans, or His places of special designation communicate the same love, respect, or understanding?

JN 4: 5-42 "The woman left her water jar ..." What burden are you carrying that you should hand over to Jesus?

 JN 2: 13-25 "Zeal for your house will consume me." Jesus' reaction in the Gospel today is one of zeal - a positive enthusiasm due to His love and respect of His Father's House.  He has the same zeal for our temples - our bodies and souls - that they should be respected and loved as God's dwelling places.  What are we doing during this season of Lent to change the environment in our hearts to reflect our love and respect for God's dwelling places in each of us?
